This month Wrexham AFC players and staff will be joining forces against Cancer, advocating for Men’s mental health and raising consciousness for suicide prevention by participating in Movember.

On a global scale, over 1.4 million men receive a diagnosis of prostate cancer annually and one in eight men in the UK will receive a diagnosis during their lifetime.

The objective is to cultivate a mustache and sport it as a symbol of healthier men and a healthier world.

As an organization, they prioritize funding for the three largest health concerns affecting men: mental health and suicide prevention, prostate cancer, and testicular cancer.

Participating in Movember and representing Wrexham AFC are: Humphrey Ker, Kevin Mulholland, Jonny Griffiths, Owen Jackson, Iwan-Pugh Jones, James Edgerley, Liam Hall, Dan Davies, Aaron Hayden, Eoghan O’Connell, Tom O’Connor, Billy Waters, and Ollie Palmer.

Due to his commitments, Iwan was unable to attend the photo shoot, and Eoghan O’Connell was also unavailable due to the birth of his son. We send our best wishes to him and his family!

Movember is a campaign in which individuals and organizations across the country take part, and speaking about why it is crucial for the Club to be involved, Kevin Mulholland said: “As a club, we have had numerous individuals and families directly impacted by prostate cancer.”

“Having experienced the agony and distress of losing my father to prostate cancer six years ago, I understand the toll it can exact on families.

“This is our chance for players and staff at Wrexham AFC to help generate awareness of prostate cancer, as well as raise funds for a vital charity that aids in preventing premature deaths of men due to this illness.”
